i) Ph.D. Admission Eligibility

In order to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree, students must meet certain basic requirements. The following are some of the basic qualifications for a Doctor of Philosophy:

To enroll in a Ph.D. program, students must hold a master’s or post-graduate degree.

Based on the candidate’s community, the student must have at least 50 – 55 percent of the marks or grades in the PG course that he or she studied.

Candidates with professional experience in the field of research are highly valued and given additional consideration.

 

ii) Merit-Based

Doctor of Philosophy students are sometimes admitted to colleges without having to take an admission exam. Students are admitted after submitting a research proposal outline. After their study proposal has been reviewed, students will be notified.

All candidates interested in pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree must meet the basic eligibility standards of a master’s degree with a 50-50 split. 

 

iii) Exam Based

For admission to Ph.D. programmes, a variety of national and institution-specific entrance exams are held. After passing the entrance tests for the Doctor of Philosophy programme, students may be required to participate in an interview before being accepted into the programme.
