The University of Mumbai has released the registration form for the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2021, according to the latest news. Candidates interested in applying for Ph.D. courses can do so via The deadline to apply for the Mumbai University PET is October 26th, 2021. The exam dates and other related dates for the Mumbai University Ph.D. entrance Test have yet to be announced by the authorities (PET). The entrance exam is for admission to 79 PhD programs in Science, Humanities, Commerce and Management, and Interdisciplinary Studies throughout the four universities.


Mumbai University PhD Entrance Test (PET) 2021: Registration Procedure

Candidates must visit the official website to apply for the Mumbai University Ph.D. admission exam. Candidates who submit their applications before the deadline will also be eligible to receive admit cards. They can apply for Mumbai University PET Application Form 2021 by following the instructions outlined below.

Step 1: Go to the University of Mumbai’s official website,

Step 2: Go to the Mumbai University PhD admission exam page and click on it.

Step 3: Fill all the essential information to register.

Step 4: Log in and complete the online application form.

Step 5: Submit your application and pay the application fees.

Step 6: Fill out the form and submit it.

The exam fee is Rs 1,000 for general category students and Rs 500 for reserved category students. Online submission of the application form and fee is required. Offline applications will not be accepted by the institution.


Last Time Mumbai University PET Exam

Candidates who took the MU PET 2021 exam in the past had two portions, each worth 50 points. Section A of the paper was on Research Methodology, and Section B was subject-specific, according to the exam format. To be deemed qualified for Ph.D. programs, candidates must achieve aggregate passing grades specified by MU.

Candidates in the unreserved categories must score 50, while those in the reserved categories must score 45. “The candidate can give the PET in a proctored way from a closed area such as a room or a place of residence,” according to the official statement.
